The first annual Holyoke Latin Jazz Festival
is taking place on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Winter Palace Theatre in Holyoke from 4:00 p.m. to
midnight.
The line-up includes a number of great Latin jazz bands from
the Pioneer Valley
and New York City,
including Los InterTrips, Wayne Roberts Latin Jazz Quintet, Jesus Pagan and
Conjunto Barrio, Ed Byrne’s Latin Jazz Evolution and DJ Wichy.
The festival is part of the PassportHolyoke Discover Holyoke Day,
a celebration of art, music and dance performances, demonstrations and
workshops, historic tours of Holyoke and
historic buildings, a locomotive train, the Merry-Go-Round, several museums in
downtown Holyoke.
Admission is just $1 for a wristband that gives you access
to all of these activities.
