Blues Singer Darrell Nulisch Performs at Regattabar in Cambridge on January 7


Blues and soul singer Darrell Nulisch is performing at Regattabar Jazz Club in Harvard Square on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets to the show are $15 and can be purchased online.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Nulisch has been singing since 1978, he has performed with the world's great bluesmen, including James Cotton, Johnny Winter and Ronnie Earl.

Sister City Jazz Ambassadors performing in Pittsfield on Thursday, January 5


The Sister City Jazz Ambassadors perform at Paddy's Pub in Pittsfield Massachusetts on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.

The group is composed of musicians committed to building peace through music and people-to-people connections.  They'll be performing every Thursday evening at Paddy's Pub, which is located in Park Square in downtown Pittsfield.  For directions, click here.

Ron Della Chiesa, Boston's popular radio host on 89.7 WGBH, is discussing and signing copies of his new book, Radio My Way, at Stellina Restaurant in Watertown on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. 

The 304 page book, which is available for sale at the event, is a collection of profiles of jazz, opera and classical musicians Della Chiesa has interviewed over the past thirty five years, from Dizzy Gillespie and Dave McKenna to Rosemary Clooney and Placido Domingo.
