Jazz Pianist Ahmad Jamal Performs at Shalin Liu Center in Rockport on October 22

Ahmad Jamal, legendary jazz pianist, is appearing at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, Massachusetts on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

The benefit concert will help support Rockport Music's artistic programming and its educational outreach on Cape Ann and the region.   Tickets are $200 and can be reserved online. 

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Jamal is considered one of the most influential jazz musicians of the last half century, according to jazz critic and scholar Stanley Crouch.
