The Original Jelly Roll Soul band is performing at Nick's Bar & Restaurant in Worcester on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 9:00 p.m.
Formed in 2010, the Rhode Island-based ensemble plays roots jazz, including New Orleans, swing, jump, hard bop, Afro-Cuban, as well as Ethiopian, and others. The band also draws from the many genres, such as blues, gospel, ragtime, calypsos and other Caribbean styles of music that came together in early New Orleans to create jazz.
